Hobart's Anglesea Barracks is the oldest Australian military establishment still occupied by the Australian Defence Force. Built and occupied as the headquarters of the British Imperial Forces in Tasmania from the early 1800s until 1870, the Barracks was named by Governor George Arthur after the Marquis of Anglesey, then Master General of the Ordnance in England. After the last British regiment stationed there left in 1870, most of the Barracks was rented out until just after Federation in 1901, at which time the Barracks passed back into full military control and has remained so ever since.
Reproductions are inkjet printed on high quality paper using colour-fast UV tolerant inks. These plans and charts are suitable for laminating or framing.
Please note that historic charts and plans are printed on demand as orders are received. As such there can be an additional 2-3 day delay over and above standard delivery times.
