The 40 chains to 1 inch (1:31 680) topographic map series was commenced in the late 1950’s to provide for greater map detail requirements, made possible by a supporting program of aerial photography capture and stereo-plotting. The series is viewed as the forerunner to modern comprehensive topographic mapping.
Reproductions are inkjet printed on high quality paper using colour-fast UV tolerant inks, suitable for laminating or framing.
